Copy data to new server , but redirect to the oriiginal server

    I have setup wordpress , it works fine .

    I tried to copy all programs and database to another server then start it to run , I found that when I click the post , it will redirect to original server , it seems everything still point to original server , would advise how to create a backup site for testing ? thanks

    what I hope to do is have two different server , one is live server , one is testing server .

    what I have to do is just copy the programs and mysql db ( by the command cp) to another server , do I need to modify something before copying ? thanks

    I would like to have a separate site for testing .

    I have tar the wordpress files and database to another server , and then extract it , is it a wrong method to setup a new site ?
