    Hey there,

we currently had some feedback from our customers. Copy and paste into the jobs and or compnay description is not possible when the text has an emojy. Can reproduce this via front end and also via backend.

Guess this is in someway related to the TinyMCE editor

    Anyone a solution for this?

    Hi @braehler,

Would you share an example job description that includes emoji? Also, did you notice this on a specific theme? In other words, does this happen on a default WordPress theme as well?

I tried to reproduce this issue on my end, but didn’t have any issues showing emoji. I copied and pasted “?? Get Emoji — All Emojis to ?? Copy and ?? Paste ??” as the job description for this Job post:

And it showed up fine on a site with the Storefront theme:

Please note, I used the frontend Job submission form to do this.

Let us know what you find.

thanks. Unfortunaly I didn′t had the time yet to test this with a default theme, but I′m going to do this.

One thing that comes to my mind, is that we do not use the default job descrpiction field, we use a custom field via the field editor plugin, Maybe this is causing the issue?

That very well could be. Can you also try with the default field?

    Hello @braehler

Do you have updates about that? We usually close inactive threads after one week of no activity, but we want to make sure we’re all set before marking it as solved. Thanks!

Tried this last week. From my side i was able to copy and paste some text including emojys into the “standard” job description field. It fails when using our custom field. I′m going to ask myles from field editor why this is hapening
