• I have install wordpress to my local server, it work fine, but when I want to add article by copy the text and paste it inside the text area, everything until now is ok, in the main page it appears only the title of the article, not the article itself.

    Any help please:

If the problem from MS product, as you said, why this happened again with OpenOffice, which I have install it just to be sure and I have got the following error

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in c:\program files\easyphp1-8\www\ara_wordpress\wp-includes\class-IXR.php on line 513

    Okay.

Just do not copy / paste.

Or copy/paste to a plain text editor (like notepad) first, then copy/paste from the plain text editor into WP.

Or just use a plain text editor to start with.

Just to be clear, the problem with the RTE & copy/paste isn’t MS Word’s problem. It is a problem with RTE. Try copying from any webpage into the RTE–you get tag info from the website as well.

It would be optimal if the RTE had a “Plain Paste” feature.

I have instructed my users to (for the time being) try one of a few shareware / freeware solutions that automatically strip formatting on cut and paste. The one that seems to be easiest for them to download / install / use so far is puretext20 from Steve Miller

That said however I’d love to see a solution from within WP that doesn’t involve turning off the RTE feature.
