copy an active wordpress online?

Here’s what I want to do:

I’ve got a website I’m creating in a sub directory so I can see how it works online.

Everything works and I like it ??

Now instead of starting over from the ground up, can I “move” my wordpress to the new directory and have everything work? like from mydomain.com/new to mydomain.com?
