copied woo email templates not allowing the customizer to function

  • Hi there
    i cant get this to work
    i place some templates from woocommerce to a child theme woo folder
    and try the customizer.
    some things work but most dont!
    is this a know issue?
    so we cant make changes to the base core templates
    when using the customizer?

    If you want this plugin to control things like text in the emails then you can’t override the templates in your child theme. By overriding the templates in your child theme you are taking control away from what this plugin can do. Does that make sense?

    so how do we make hard code edits to the templates and use ur great plugin?

    You could copy the template files from within our plugin, instead of from within woocommerce. That would give you the changed code that removeds woocommerce hardcoded strings and adds actions.
