Hello, we need to get our website in compliance with privacy laws (CCPA/CPRA) and GDPR. Specifically, I need to be able to block (or allow) creation of cookies by this plugin based upon choices made in a Cookie Consent Banner (we’re using cookie-script.com , free level).

I noticed that All in One WP Security and Firewall plugin creates 3-4 cookies named with random strings, and with random string values, set for a 5 day duration.

Ideally, is there a way in which this plugin integrates with various cookie banners to determine whether or not to create cookies?

Alternatively, is there a specific setting that is creating these cookies? Can I disable this, or change settings that control whether or not these random cookies are generated?

Finally, Cookie Script has this guide for disabling/enabling 3rd party cookies via Javascript: https://cookie-script.com/how-to-block-third-party-cookies.html?#blocking-third-party-cookies-set-with-javascript

To use the above guide, I would need to know where the javascript functions that write these cookies are located within this plugin.

Any guidance would be appreciated. I love the plugin and would prefer to keep using it if we can make it compliant with a cookie consent banner and the CCPA/CPRA and GDPR privacy laws. Thanks!

    Hi @nikkismith,

WP security > Spam prevention > Comment spam

Please disable above feature which creates the cookies so the comment is not posted by the bot can be checked.

We are working on a fix so these cookies to be used for spam comments can be selected by the admin or might be we remove the cookies to be used for spam comment detection as it affects cache also.

But it will be in one of the next releases of AIOS.

    Regards
