    HI there,

trying to use complianz in a gdpr save manner. But I cannot make the plugin block all cookies prior to consent. Already read a few tickets here and also documentation but I am a little overwhelmed and do not know where the problem is. Can you please help out?

    Thanks, Clemens

    Hi @cpepegrano,

I think it might be two-fold. One is Tag Manager, make sure that all tags that need consent, are fired on either a Complianz trigger or with a variable based on consent settings. We can help you with this, but a great start can be found here, which includes a import for GTM so all basics triggers and variables are available, you only need to match them to the tags.

Secondly, you’re using a translation API from Google. This can of course be removed before consent, but this means translations are not available without consent. Creating a placeholder, or signifying someones needs consent is a bit harder as well.

    I presume you’re using /plugins/google-language-translator/?

    Hi @cpepegrano,

I’ll mark the thread as resolved for now, as we haven’t heard back from you in a while.

If we can provide further assistance with this, just let us know and we’d be more than glad to assist.

    Kind regards,

    Jarno
