    Hello there,

the cookies are stored before user interacts with the cookie consent popup.

Please let me explain my use case:
No matter if I set the default state of a cookie category to disabled or not the cookies are stored locally before interacting with the cookie banner. If I now save the cookie settings with analytics cookies set to disabled the analytics cookies are removed. But what I want is that the cookies are not stored until the user accepts them.

BTW if I reload the page afterwards it seems that the analytics cookies are reloaded again despite my settings.

I tested all of this in the developer tools in safari, chrome and firefox.
In my case it’s about the google analytics cookies like ‘_ga’ and so on.

Can you please help out? What do I have to do so that the cookies are not loaded before confirming them?

    Thanks in advance,
    Max

PS relates to the following issue:
    default-value-of-cookies

    Hi @maximilianbruno,

    Greetings from CookieYes!

As we examined your website, it appeared that you had incorporated Google Analytics scripts into the themes and the Monster Insight plugin. Please remove the additional tracking codes on your website.

Until the user grants consent, our plugin disables the Monster Insight plugin’s script as expected. The plugin cannot stop the second GA script from running because it is added directly to the themes. If you wish to add GA as a script, you can paste it into the head script area of the cookie category, which is found when you edit the Analytics cookie category, rather than adding it using the Monster Insight plugin.

Note: Kindly keep a single GA script running on your website.

    Hi @cookieyesteam,
thank you for your reply and time!

I will remove monsterinsight plugin and add the script directly to analytics category as you suggest. Then I will try again and report.

    Thanks again, Max
