Cookies and European law

Hi guys,

Recently Europe has introduced a law which requires any website accessed by a European citizen to obtain explicit consent from each visitor to use cookies on that site. I use WordPress because I don’t understand stuff like cookies and I don’t know which of my plugins creates cookies or not. What is the easiest way to find out and how do I know how long the cookies last and so on ?
