    Hi

    What do these cookies do?

I am asking for my cookie policy.

    cookie_notice_accepted
    complianz_policy_id
    cookielawinfor_checkbox_non_necessary
    dont_track_me
    viewed_cookie_policy

    Thanks

    Kind Regards

    Heather

    Hi @heatheradams,

I can see 1 or 2 from Complianz:

complianz_policy_ID: tells the banner if the current user has accepted the most recent cookie policy.
dont_track_me: signals the banner that the user’s browser settings are set on “Do Not Track”. This will automatically decline the banner and cookie preferences.
    source: https://complianz.io/cookies-from-complianz-what-are-they-for-and-how-can-you-use-them/

    The others:

cookie_notice_accepted: Because of the general statement, the functionality is clear. The plugin or service is not.
viewed_cookie_policy: same as above. Check to see if the user has seen the cookie policy.
cookielawinfor_checkbox_non_necessary: same as above. I guess this is to handle the settings of the categories on a cookie banner.

I would guess the last 3 are from the same plugin, which serves a cookie banner.

    Hope this helps,

    regards Aert

    Hi @aahulsebos

    Thank you for your help.

Upon second review, I have realised that the cookie policy plugin I am using is not by complianz. I did install the complianz plugin in a period of testing but uninstalled shortly after.

Why are there still cookies showing up for complianz on my website?

    Thanks

    Kind Regards

    Heather

    Hi @heatheradams,

They are most likely still in your browser’s cache. You can clear your cache or try incognito. They could be from another website as well, which uses Complianz.
