Hi, Does this plugin set any cookies for GDPR and other privacy law purposes? Maybe Pinterest cookies? I’m also seeing a wprm-modal-edit-mode that I’m not sure what it is?

We actually provide more information on that on the Settings > Privacy > Policy Guide page. If you add external services (like Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, …) to your site you should check their privacy policy as well.

wprm-modal-edit-mode is related to what tabs you have open in the recipe edit screen. It’s only use for those that have access to the backend.

Thanks for your reply @brechtvds. I haven’t added any external services (like Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, …). The only thing I’m using is the “Pin recipe” button that comes with this plugin. Does this button set any cookies since its only purpose is to share the recipe on Pinterest?

So wprm-modal-edit-mode shouldn’t appear in the cookie declaration or be listed in the Cookie Policy then, right? (single author site)

It depends on the pin method you’ve set to use on the WP Recipe Maker > Settings > Social Sharing page. With “pinit.js” their JavaScript is loaded and you need to check their policy to see if they save cookies. If it’s set to “Link only” it’s just a link and nothing else is required.

    wprm-modal-edit-mode can be ignored, yes.
