    Hi!

I’m trying to run the Burst statistics plugin without storing any cookies on my page visitors’ browser. However, when I visit the page (https://ostgotapartiet.se), the browser inspector detects a ‘burst_uid’ cookie. Even though I have cookieless tracking enabled.

I’ve ran the page on a cookie analysis page and it seems to give the same result. Therefore, I have some questions as follows:

    • Have I understood the cookieless tracking wrong by assuming that no cookies at all are locally stored on the visitors’ computer?
    • Is it at all possible to fetch site statistics without storing any cookies on the computer of the page visitor?

I’ve tried to use Complianz, and after following the wizard through plus some testing, the ‘burst_uid’ activates as an “unidentified” cookie but it still seems to store some cookies on the visitors’ machine (mine in this case) even though I specifically Deny any consent for cookies.

Important note – I’m not a profesisonal at all. Which might explain any shortcomings shown in my topic here.

I have submitted a URL from a recent cookie scan result that I made a couple minutes ago. The result is based on a scan performed while having “cookieless tracking” enabled in Burst Statistics.

    Recent cookie scan result

My wish is to be able to fetch good, anonymized statistics available from my admin panel in wordpress. I have no plans on running any other cookies, therefore I hope to be able to run the site without any cookie banner.

    Thanks in advance!

@ok900 I think it might have been caching, because if I check in the browser, and also on the cookie scan you linked, there are no cookies whatsoever.

    Hope this helps!

Thank you Rogier for the fast response. I went into my browser and removed an older, cached cookie. Now it looks alright again.

    Have a great week!
