hello, i’ve installed this plugin in a new site, and it’s different from latest version that i used (new interface, you go in a external dashboard to set it up…) and i would like to have a link that i can put in the privacy policy to change the cookie settings (change the preferences for enabling or disabling cookie) i remember that i used the shortcode [cookie_settings] but it doesn’t work anymore.
any suggestion on how to achieve it ?

    Hi @darkmagister,

    Greetings from CookieYes!

We completely revamped the code and user interface of our WordPress plugin. The plugin now makes it simple for users to connect to our CookieYes web application.

This is true for a brand-new website that is utilising our plugin for the first time. For websites where our legacy plugin is already installed and has matured through updates, the UI and features will remain the same. This was done so that the existing user’s settings would not be affected.

You can create a privacy policy from here or a cookie policy page from here(the links are available within the plugin settings) and embed the URL of the privacy policy page/cookie policy page in the read more link of the banner to redirect the users to the privacy policy/cookie policy page. To enable it, go to the Cookie Banner > Content & Colors > Cookie Notice > “Cookie Policy” link, click the toggle button and paste the URL in the URL input field.

To have a cookie settings button on your privacy policy page please follow the instructions given in this article from our documentation.

That is quite a drastic change. Is there any way I can get the old interface to work on a new site? Some setting in the database maybe? Please say yes.

I’m trying to duplicate ALL of the settings from the old site to the new site and this makes it impossible without starting from scratch and learning a whole new interface.

What if I just rolled back to an earlier version?

Yeah, 2.1.3 gives me what I want.

    Hi @dcutri500,

In order to transfer your settings, you must really continue using the legacy plugin, hence we are providing the download link.
