    Also i want to limit what events show in the show more events link? i want to exclude categories from the event list

    the first issue is not available out of the box and might need lots of coding on your part to make this work

    second, you can try shortcode like [fullcalendar category=”-x”] where x is the event category id and negative symbolizes exclude events with category x assign
