Cookie Scan Questions + Monster Insights Integration

    Hi,

    first of all, I am quite a fan of your plugin.

    There is something I do not understand about the cookie scan and cookie document, though: It sometimes creates very “ugly” results, even after all cookies are deleted first to create a clean slate (+ cache emptied). I enclose the link for you to see what I mean. If you open item 6 “placed cookies” (sorry, in German) in the cookie document you can see the “ugly” list that contains lots of cookies (including several Complianz cookies) that I did not expect to be on the list while not containing those I had expected (Google Fonts, Google Maps, Monster Insights). Is there a way to delete all the seemingly unnecessary cookies from that list and only show the essential ones in a readable way?

    Also, and I hope this is not another topic altogether, but if yes, I am happy to start another thread: I ran the cookie scan again to include Monster Insights cookies. But the scan does not show any Monster Insights cookies. Did I misunderstand this and it just shows Google Analytics anyway?

    Hi @adalov,

    It seems like the Sync with CookieDatabase did not complete successfully, hence why every found Cookie is listed as “Sonstiges/gegenstand der untersuchung”.

    Could you verify that under Wizard > Cookies > Cookie scan, “Consent to the use of the CookieDatabase API” is set to “Yes”.

    Afterwards, please resync with CookieDatabase (Wizard > Cookies > Cookie descriptions > Sync button).

    Please let me know if that works.

    Hi Jarno,

    thank you for the quick reply. I had already set the consent to yes, but the resync was what I was looking for. It already looks much more organized at https://www.zurstadtkrems.com/cookie-richtlinie-eu/, though there are still 2 items (one of those Wordfence) not correctly displayed with “Gegenstand der Untersuchung”. Can I delete those and if yes, how? Also, I still do not see anything from Monster Insights, but that’s probably just GA then, right?

    Hi @adalov,

    If you enlarge the WordFence cookie “wf_loginalerted_*” in the Wizard > Cookies > Cookie descriptions, are the boxes “Sync cookie with Cookiedatabase” and “Show on Cookie Policy” both checked?

    And concerning MonsterInsights, I just tested and this indeed seems to be as you stated, with only the ‘usual’ GA cookies being placed.

    Hi Jarno,

    thanks again. I think I figured out what to do not to show undescribed cookies via the cookie description menu, so the cookie list looks decent now and I marked this thread as resolved.
