    Hi,

I’m having an issue with the automatically generated cookie policy page.

The whole site works fine and the language is set to English (we are using WPML for Spanish content, but haven’t created a translated page for this one yet). However, under “Miscellaneous” cookies, text is inexplicably displayed in Spanish as seen here:

    How could we fix that?

    Thank you in advance!

    All the best,
    Christina

    Hi @cstoll,

Please go to the wizard – cookies – cookie descriptions and sync the cookies with English as a language in the dropdown (above the cookie descriptions).

    Hi,

    thank you for your reply!

I’ve synced and now it displays “Statistics” in addition to Spanish, but I guess this could be due to those cookies not being included in the cookie database?

Should I just manually override the Spanish text for now until maybe later on they’ll be included?

    Hello @cstoll,

I’ve been trying to reproduce this behaviour locally with WPML installed, but haven’t been able to. Would it be possible for you to share a link to the Website/Cookie Policy in question, so we can investigate?

If you don’t want to share it publicly, you can send us a ticket through complianz.io/support/ and skip the license check.

    Kind regards,

    Hi @cstoll,

Has your issue already been solved? Most of the times, doing a re-scan for cookies & re-sync with CookieDatabase (make sure Cookies in English is selected in the dropdown menu) should fix this.

I’m closing the thread for now as it has become inactive, but feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.

    Kind regards,
    Jarno

    Hi,

sorry for the late reply to this – I tried syncing with English on again, but not much changed, except that it now says “Statistics” alongside “Estadisticas”:

Here’s the URL to the cookie policy: https://boost.hearring.com/cookie-policy-eu/

    Hi,

    thanks for the reply!

For now, I guess I’ll just manually override the Spanish text with English then.

FYI, I’ve reinstated password protection for our site again, as it’s not launched yet.
Let me know if you need access to it again.

    Thanks!
