• Hi

After I installed Cookie Notice plugin, my Polylang refuses to save any change and shows a 404 page instead, even after deleting the cookie plugin.

I have other sites using both plugins, and they work beautifully. I tried changing the theme, but the problem remains.
I searched the forums and the net but I did not find mention of this issue: I cannot understand where the problem could be.

I have other sites thad need to be implemented with the cookie law norice, and they all use Polylang.
    Could you help me?

    Thank you!

CN was design with special focus on Polylang and we’re using this on multiple sites without any issues.

Ca you post a link to this site you have problems on?

Indeed CN is working perfectly with Polylang inmy other sites, here is the troubled one:
    https://www.tantrainthekitchen.com
Luckily, it is still under construction.
Give me a minute, now it is in maintenance mode

There’s no Cookie Notice code at all. As if there was no wp_head() and wp_footer() functions in the theme. Possible?

    Pls try again

    Works fine.

As soon as I try to edit strings translations in Polylang and save, I get this:

    https://tantrainthekitchen.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=mlang&tab=strings&noheader=true

    that says Page not found

and then it is impossible to delete those strings, all I can do is deleting both plugins

That points to an admin error somewhere. CN does nothing with Polylang admin edit screens – it just registers strings same way as other plugins and Polylang itself does.

I submitted the question to the Polylang developers as well, let’s see if they encountered this kind of glitch before.

Anyway, thanks for your prompt support: Cookie Notice works perfectly with Polylang on all my other websites, I’ll figure out a way to fix this too.

    Hey elenacone!..
I have the same issue. I think too is a conflict between Cookie notice and Polylang.
    Did you fixed it?
    Help me please!

I don’t think there’s any conflict (there’s no really room for conflict, these plugins don’t interfere). We’re using both on dozens of websites without any issues.

I don’t think too. Just the weird about same issue with the same plugins.. I’m not solved yet the issue.. Any suggestions?

    I fixed it by myself.
There was a kind of conflict with Cookie Notice. In fact in Polylang string settings there were more items of Cookie Notice than the beginning situation.
This was my first clue, so I deleted Cookie Notice and I tried to go through phpMyAdmin and looking for Cookie Notice translated strings of Polylang. I deleted all them and when I updated, of course Cookie Notice strings were disappeared and Polylang finally start again to works.
    Good job!

    Hi Redrop

I solved using another plugin, that is WF Cookie Consent

Both Polylang and WF Cookie Consent updated to fit WordPress 4.3.1.; they are working fine together.
