Cookie Login Error

    I have been unable to login to my WordPress site for 2 days now. In the middle of an afternoon, I performed a computer reboot, and though I had been working in my WordPress site all morning, I was no longer able to log in using my username or password.

    I am able to login using my FTP software, and the page is displayed at its address, so I’m assuming the host site is not to blame.

    I have tried deactivating all plugins – that does not work, I am still unable to login (with multiple attempts)
    I have tried reverting to the default theme – that does not work
    I have tried commenting out some lines from wp-config.php – that does not work
    I have tried everything I can think of or find as advice in the multiple threads dealing with this issue.

    Can anyone offer me more insight on how I can login?

    Any and all help is appreciated.

    “Error: Cookies are blocked or are not supported by your browser. You must enable cookies to use WordPress.”

    This is across browsers (Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer) and allowing all cookies and deleting all history caches has had no impact.

    I tried logging in multiple times (as that seemed to work for some people), adding lines of code to various files (all removed after they didn’t work), and every solution I’ve yet seen proposed online. Please help, as this is my company website and there are much-needed updates that I need to make.

    Kristina,

    Try repairing & optimizing your database – I just wrestled with this and had 3 support tech’s from my host try and fail to offer a solution.

    Repairing and optimizing my database fixed it perfectly.

    Not sure if it will work for you, but give it a go ??
