    Hi,

The user’s choice on the cookie bar (accept all or refuse all) is kept for one year according to the retention period of the OptanonConsent cookie.

Is it possible to reduce this duration to 6 months?

    Thank you!

    Hi @boo6ie,

You can change the time in days for Complianz’ consent cookies to expire under Complianz > Settings > Cookies > “Cookie banner expiration in days”.

Note that when you make a ‘significant’ change in the Wizard, such as enabling an additional service that requires consent (i.e. Facebook), this will also cause the previous cookies to expire. Visitors that had previously consented will then have to provide consent once more.

The “OptanonConsent” cookie is not part of the Complianz plugin, though.

    Hope this helps!
    Kind regards,
    Jarno

Thank you for your reply ??

Compared to “OptanonConsent”, this is a remark from a client for whom we must modify the cookie system on his site (via the pro version of your plugin).

Do you know what it is exactly?

    Hello @boo6ie,

“OptanonConsent” concerns a cookie that is set by OneTrust. So, if the intention is to modify the retention/expiration period of that cookie, this must be done within the OneTrust interface.

    Hope it helps,
    Kind regards.
