Cookie law info truncated text isn’t translated

  • Hello,

    I have installed the cookie law info plugin on a site with Greek and English versions. The plugin displays cookie policy in a modal after clicking on a link. The plugin shows the policy text truncated with a “show more” link. TranslatePress finds and translates into English only the shortened text. Every time the “show more” link is pressed the original Greek text shows up.

    I hope that makes sense. I wish I could link you to the site, but it’s not live yet.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    It seems to work just fine. you will need to use the string list also for this to work as planned.

    For the discamer you need to edit only the AAA,BBB and CCC. The rest must be as it is.

    As for the rest. you will need to use the string list to find the missing pieces that you cannot find by hovering the mouse over it.

    Hello,

    At my site, the full text which appears after you click “show more” is not included in the string list. So it can’t be translated. The text that appears in the string list is the default shortened version. If you click on Cookies Policy and then the Show more link, you’ll see what I mean.
