    Hi,

when I change the settings for the cookie banner (the design), the changes won’t be saved. I can see the changes on my WordPress dashboard site as a preview but this is not displayed on my website page – the design seems odd/different. Could you support me with this?

    Thanks

    Hi @michailschuch,

When visiting the site, I see a banner with different styles than the default Complianz banner, so your settings seem to be loaded correctly.

Could the difference between the back-end preview and the displayed banner on the front-end be the banner position? (Complianz > Cookie Banner > Appearance > Position). Perhaps you could try setting a different position, such as bottom-right, to see if that matches up with the style you expect to see?

    Kind regards,
    Jarno

Having the same problem. Settings never save. On multiple sites. Happening ever since v.6

    Hi @shiv99,

Would it be possible to create a separate thread for your issue? These issues can look very similar but may have entirely different causes.

If possible, please attach a “debug.log” file. This will greatly help us find the likely cause(s) of the issue.

    Thank you!
    Kind regards,
    Jarno

@shiv99 @michailschuch if settings do not save on the back-end, you may have skipped updates for one or more versions. Because in these skipped versions some database columns were upgraded which were later dropped, these columns do not get upgraded anymore. If your hosting company has a low rowsize limit on the table, it may cause “row size too large” errors on saving.

The 6.1.1 version on Github includes a database upgrade which checks all columns in the cookiebanner table, and changes each column, even if the column is not used anymore.

    This should resolve the issue.

Release for this version is expected next week. Let me know if that helps!

Hello, I have the same problem with the setting’s changes not being saved. Now I can’t find version 6.1.1 on Github. Is there anywhere else I can find it?
    Kind regards
