    Hi,
I am experiencing some difficulties with the plug-in as it is overlapping the footer menu when scrolling to the bottom of the page. The problem here is that, as typically, I placed the link to the Impressum as well as the data protection declaration in the footer. These should be easily accessible. With the banner overlapping the footer this is certainly not the case. Putting the banner to the top is not really an option (mostly because in the mobile version of the website the menu button overlaps the cookie banner than; PS: using the leedeo theme). Is anyone else experiencing the same problem? Does anyone has a solution for this issue?

    Thanks in advance,
    Chris

    Chris,
I don′t think that this is a Problem. Every other cookie plugin does it like this.
The notice banner has to be on top.
You will have to put the Banner somewhere else or put the imprint link into the main menu…

    Sincerely, Kai

    Hey Cliedtke,

you can try to give the css class .cc-banner a z-index: 999999; which gives it a higher “level” on the site itself. Usually the cookie notice has its own z-index, but sometimes the site has a higher z-index, which causes a overlapping on the site.

You should speak with your webdesigner or developer, for further assistance.

    Thanks
    Sascha

German laws are strict about not hiding “Imprint”

By German law the “Imprint” link, which is often placed in the footer, should be available and never be covered, a.f.a.i.k.

Why not adding a 2nd Link to “Imprint” so in case the banner covers something the link is still clickable?
