Cookie Banner not showing after transition from Plugin to GTM

    Hello! I’m having problems after the configuration of Google Consent Mode on CookieYes.

    I had successfully configured CookieYes on my site with the plugin and connected to the web app. However, after a couple of minutes I realized that would have been better to install it via GTM.

    I disconnected the plugin from CookieYes and then deactivated it assuming that this process would clean up my website from CookieYes data. I then follow the guide to implement CookieYes GCM thorugh GTM.

    It seems that the installation went smoother. I checked it in the preview mode of GTM too and the tag is fired correctly. However, the banner is not appearing on the website.

    Could you please help me figure out what’s going on?

    Greetings from CookieYes!

    You have added the Website key wrongly in the CookieYes CMP tag. Please copy only the Website key instead of the entire installation code. You can find the instructions?here.

    Thank you very much for your answer. I followed the instructions and copied only the website key into GTM’s CookieYes tag configuration but I still do not see any banner on my website.

    Did I do anything wrong? Is there any more amend that I should apply? Thanks again for your support

    Hi @giuseppeg,

    It’s still not added correctly. Please copy only the Website key from the src attribute of the script.

    I finally got what you meant with Website key only. Now it seems that the banner works smoothly!
