Cookie Banner not disappearing after clicking

Hi,

I use a wordpress.com site in Lovecraft theme for my personal blog and had added the EU cookie banner via the widgets but when you click on it to accept it doesn’t go away, just keeps reappearing, I’m using Safari but have also tried it in Chrome. Can anyone advise please? thanks Cathy
