Cookie banner forces page to jump to English original site
-
The Cookie banner which people should click to accept cookies, somehow seems to be forcing the page (on first contact only) to jump back to the original English version of the page. Even when a translated page is the supposed target.
For example, the page I linked above (domain.com/cs/) , if I go to an incognito tab and put this URL in my browser. I see for a split second the Czech translation of the page (and cookie banner) and then it jumps to English. Upon approving or declining cookies, it stays on the English page and doesn’t go back to the originally intended target page.
If I don’t click neither decline nor accept, and open a second tab in the same browser. And input again the URL to the translated page, I now DO get what I expected in the first place: the Czech page, with the cookie banner in Czech. But I cannot expect my customers to behave this way, they will simply think the page is in English and leave the site….
I have translated the cookie banner and all necessary items as far as I can tell. I don’t know why the page would behave this way.
Please help to resolve this. I can give you access to my site if it is needed.
