Cookie banner doesnt show up

    Hello,

    I have a problem with cookie banner from Complianz plugin, I configured it out but it doesnt showing up. I have read some similar posts but nothing helped me…

      1. I have “Your site requires a consent banner, which has been enabled.”
      2. Options – permalink recreated
      3. All other plugins turned off – still without cookie banner
      4. .cmplz-hidden?{ display: none !important; }
      5. No errors in console
      6. No litespeed caching or some caching plugin
      7. Checked on various browsers / incognito modes

      Please help what could be blocking this cookie banner…

      Hi @goweb,

      It looks like the Cookie Banner title contains a certain symbol, e.g. a quotation mark ", and since the Cookie Banner title is added as a class to the <div> of the banner, this likely results in a different HTML structure than the plugin expects, and the banner doesn’t appear correctly anymore as a result.

      Could you navigate to Complianz -> Consent Banner -> General -> “Consent Banner title” and change it to something simple such as default-banner, then Save settings, and clear any caches in optimization tools (if applicable to your site) and then check whether this resolves the issue.

      Oh yes, simple mistake, now the banner is showing, Thanks!

      But I think your plugin should do some simplification / slug there, whatever user input.

      I agree with your assessment, the above post was mainly intended to confirm that this was in fact what was going on.

      Seeing as this suspicion has now been confirmed, this scenario will be handled in the upcoming release of the plugin as well.
