Converting WP theme using PHP4x to PHP5x

    Seeking info on how to convert a WP theme currently setup at one host to run with PHP4 MySQL4x so that it runs at a different host who only runs PHP5.2.6.

    Running WP 2.5.1.

    Also, is it possible to run two different WPthemes one setup for PHP4x other for 5x on same server?

  • why do you think you need to do anything to the theme? Theme files call core wordpress fucntions. WP runs just fine on PHP5 without doing anything to a theme file.

    Just my limited experience with PHP and database setups. The designer I got the theme from mentioned the theme is specifically setup for PHP4x. Perhaps I misunderstood and they meant it works with PHP4x and up? So any theme will run with PHP5.2.6 on WP 2.5.1?
