Believe it or not, I’m still using the dated WP link manager. I have so many and each contain an image. Starting from scratch would be painful. I’d like to convert them to a custom post type. However, I see this plugin doesn’t address these kind of “posts.” Is it because how they’re saved to the database?

    You are correct.

Old blogroll links are not “Posts” in the traditional sense, so this plugin doesn’t know to hook in there, or how to convert those into post objects.

I wouldn’t be surprised if someone hadn’t solved this problem with a different plugin; it would not be very difficult to build some kind of converter, and I could see how it would be useful.

The thing is no one has built a converter (or it’s unknown to me) which is why I was curious. Thanks for responding.
