Converting from Drupal – Can I do this in WP (Images)

I am doing a dry run to see if I would be better served by WP over Drupal, it just feels so “duck taped” together and has a fairly bloated overhead.

But I have this one super cool feature that I love in drupa (It was a plugin) and want to know if there is an analog in WP.

On the top of each of my posts I am able to select a “banner” that goes with said post. In Drupal I do this by placing an image on a category.
