Converting an html/css site to wordpress

Hey guys,

I’m new to wordpress. But I’m in need of a content management system forthis site I’m working on. Really the only thing I’m trying to spare is the sites header/navigation menu, everything else will be recreated. But after spending quite a few hours working with it, and researching the subject – it seems like a lost cause. For one rollovers seem much more complicated to do, and I don’t even know where to start with the vertical menu in the header (home, about me, contact mj, etc…) Is it possible to recreate this or something close in wordpress, or am I better off just creating a new layout?
