It is possible to use the shortcode in a block. E.g:

[icon_widget classes="icon-widget" title="Icon Widget" content="Add a short description" icon="fa-star" size="2x" align="center" color="#fff" bg="#333" padding="30" radius="30" heading="h4" break="<br>"]

Yes, I use it this way. But obviously a block is way much better.

There are plans to add an icon block to core so this probably wont be added to the plugin.
