Convert Custom Fields to Custom Taxonomies?

  • Is it possible to convert custom fields to custom taxonomies? I got alot of posts with custom fields that have got a set amount of different values and if i convert these to custom taxonomies I believe that i will get great benefits to browsing and sorting the posts. So is this possible please? Thanks
