Hello, I just did the conversion API setup for my website with your app, and now I would like to test it to see how it works. I have tried to trigger the button that should display a “lead” conversion but nothing appears in the business manager under “test events”. Could you tell me what I should do ? Thanks

    Hi Etienneflorent,

    Thanks for your message.

You can test the Conversion API events easily using the same Facebook Test Events tab. On the right, you will see a heading for Test Server Events.

Just take that test code and enter it into the same Pixel popup in Pixel Cat, where it says Test Code. (You can then remove it when finished testing. No need to leave it in there once finished testing.)

How did you set up the lead event? What happens when you test with the Facebook Pixel Helper browser extension? Do you have a link to your site where the Lead event should be running?

    All the best.

    Hi, thanks for the answer!

I set it like this :

    Website : activebot.ai

It should be triggered when someone click on the registration button on this page here : activebot.ai/registrieren

After testing, nothing happened but now I see the first page view events tracked via the conversion API. Any idea how to see the actual conversion event appear in my dashboard ?

Seems like my screenshot didn’t upload. Here is a link to it : https://share.cleanshot.com/bMp2dZ35

Ok, so short update. I tested the lead event and it is now being recorded. However, it shows “browser event” and not “server event”. Is that normal ?

Ok! Now it shows this : https://share.cleanshot.com/pbSnFzMw

    Again, is that normal ?

    Hi Etienneflorent,

    Thanks for your reply.

Yes, it is normal that the server event is deduplicated. That is to prevent the event from being counted as 2 events instead of 1. If the browser event was blocked for some reason, then the server event would be used by Facebook.

Do you have any other Pixel plugins or trackers installed? Sometimes this will give odd results if too many plugins are trying to use the Pixel at once. I see you have another Pixel ending in 2257.

Feel free to get back to us if there is anything else.

    All the best.

    Hi Etienneflorent,

Yes, the Pixel should work more reliably now. Are there any issues now when testing the lead event?

Hi, now it seems to work fine. I was wondering if there are any advantages of using the paid version of your plugin for API tracking ?

    Hi Etienneflorent,

Happy to hear it is working for you now.

    Hello,

How do you implement the Facebook Conversion API (CAPI) with PixelCat? I cannot find anywhere in the plugin where to put in the CAPI access token.

    Hi Mackensierf,

You can just go to the “Main” tab in Pixel Cat, then click on “+ Add Pixel”. From here, the modal that opens, you select “Facebook Conversions API” from the “Type of Pixel” dropdown.

Like this – https://ctrl.vi/i/jY_VvLaGS From here you can add the Conversion API token.

Feel free to get back to us if there is anything else.

    All the best.
