Converge (Elavon) Payment Gateway

Thanks for your Add-on suggestion. Can you explain what advantages this payment gateway has over the ones we already have available for Give? Thanks!

We use this gateway extensively as a business partner with Elavon. For our NFP customers we offer 1.5% processing fee with no per transaction charge on average (as opposed to PayPal’s 2.2% + $0.30) and many prefer that.

A lot of our customers who have donation sites, do not like WooCommerce as their donations platform. Your plugin is simple and does its supposed to, clients love it. They don’t love the fees they get charged by other payment gateways.

For what it’s worth, our NFP is using Elavon as our payment processor, too. I have been watching for Give to add an Elavon payment gateway extension. +1

@hhmiallan nice donation setup you got there? Which plugin are you using?

@webdevmattcrom waiting to hear back from you. Also, Elavon Converge has option for Recurring payments as well as E-Check. So including that would be awesome too.

We have started building out the plugin for Elavon – will update once its ready.

@hhmiallan We are close to releasing Elavon gateway for Give. Will post here when its ready.

The plugin works with Converge gateway. Let me know if you’re interested I will help you get your account ready or to move your merchant account. AmeriCloud Payments offers 1.75% on average for transaction fees for non profits.

I have a client using Converge gateway. Will I need them to sign up for an Americloud account to use this addon or will I be able to enter their Converge details and get them up and running? Thanks.

It would be beneficial for them to get an AmeriCloud Account as they’ll get very low special not for profit processing rates. If you could give me their details, I can follow up with them and have them switch: payments [at] americloud.net

There will no difference to them in terms of using Elavon/Converge, rather they’ll get lower rates.
