• I was positioning the Expire control, moving it up closer to the top of the Posts settings sidebar with the Move ^ v option. It somehow went PAST the top entry and disappeared. How do I get it back? It really should have stopped moving.

    Hi @synergyhub

    Thanks for using Post Expirator.

Sorry, I’m not sure how we can help here. This seems like an issue with the metaboxes on your site.

I worked around it by doing a site restore to before I installed it. And then was Very careful to move it up slowly and not to the very top.

But the problem seems to be your plugin does not respect that it is at the top of the MetaBoxes already, and if someone clicks the ^ arrow one more time Poof it is gone. If you are at the top, the ^ should not appear.

My constant fear is that some other admin might decide to move it .. and accidently go too far up.

FYI I have NOT had this issue with any other plugin.

@synergyhub Make sure that the metabox hasn’t moved into the center of the screen, rather than staying in the sidebar. It may be directly under your post content if you keep clicking the ^ arrow.

I have worked around the issue the hard way a while back..

But from your comment is interesting and also confusing. How could it be in the center of the screen or Under the Post. How would I have ever been able to know that, or even see it to move it back down into the side panel.

It still boils down to the plugin should not have allowed that to happen at all.

As I have gotten past the issue and moved on… I would close this thread. I only mentioned it because it is something the plugin should have never done.
