    Hi

    Multisite question here

When you implement network compatibility, what controls do you plan to give to the super admin? For example will the super admin be able to enable or disable the various features for site admins?

    Hi @henrywright,

Great question. Full multisite compatibility is still be worked on as per the below GitHub issue.
    https://github.com/google/site-kit-wp/issues/276

From my understanding so far I believe both full network administrators and individual site administrators will have full functionality to the admin settings within the plugin – individual site administrators for their site only.

For example will the super admin be able to enable or disable the various features for site admins?

I’m unsure if a network administrator will be able to disable Site Kit settings for individual site admins but if you allow me some time I’ll check this with the team and report back to you here later in the week.

    Hi Henry,

Thanks for your patience on this. I’ve spoken with the team and we’ve yet to define the full roadmap for multisite capabilities. It would be great however if you added your own preferences and insights to the related GitHub issue which they will review when working on this feature.

Let me know if you have any further questions on this and I’d be happy to help.

Thanks James. I’ll get that done this week hopefully

    Hi @jamesosborne

I don’t really have a preference for the capabilities of the super admin but I do want to mention some networks have public registration where general public users can register and be a site admin. If the super admin is responsible for the entire domain including subdomains (imagine wordpress.com) then allowing the site admins to perform certain actions such as display adverts isn’t preferable even if the adverts appear on that specific user’s site only

Also, the super admin may want his or her Google account to be used for all sites in the network instead of letting each site admin user their own Google account

@henrywright Great points! I’ve added those to the GitHub issue now for better visibility for the team when it comes to reviewing.
