I love your plug in but:
I found that if a user is registered they can access and edit their profile to join any group listed including ones that I do not want them to use.
This is a problem – I want to decide as admin who can be in the group and use group controls to allow or not allow access.

Another problem is that although your latest version install two days ago says that the 404 problem is solved I still get the 404 error verses the access denied message.

    Your help?

I agree that is a problem and that is one of the big reasons it’s not to v1.0 yet because I personally can’t use it on my production site without this being resolved. My initial reason for developing the plugin was for a site that didn’t have self-registration and therefore that wasn’t an isssue.

And the 404 issue I heard from another user earlier this week that they also had issues with it not working as expected. I am in the middle of a big project currently but plan to carve out some time next week to work on both of these issues. I hope your project can wait for those fixes.

Finally added a Public Subscription option to the User Group maintenance page that will allow you to indicate if users should be allowed to add themselves or not. The 404 message should also be resolved but please let me know if that persists.
