• Hi, looking at your plugin, is there an admin option to disable uploading videos, and only allow to embed them from sites such as youtube?

    Just thinking about potential issues with storage for large media driven communities!

  • hi i can help you with that one..

    and yes you can in admin of mediapress the first tab there is a option named “Enable uploading files?” turn it off and users should now use links for sharing as to youtube, however i noticed i cant share facebook videos or twitch.

    so hopefully the author of this plugin can check on this.

    As @daniel181 suggested, you can turn off local uploads by following the step.

    As of Facebook video is concerned, Facebook stopped supporting open end points for oembed. So it is not longer supported by WordPress. Our implementation works with the oembed providers supported by WordPress core only. That’s why it is not working.

    I want to disable JUST Video uploads, I don’t want to disable Images uploads too.

    Can you make separate options for Video/image upload toggles.
