• Does anyone know if is it possible to alter the time stamp so that it is visible or invisible on a post per post basis.
I want to toggle the visibility of the timestanps of individual posts but I can’t figure out a way to do this.
So is this possible?? and if it is possible, how would this be done?? (WP 1.2)
    thanks in advance,
    Brian

  • There is no support for this built in yet. What would be your criteria for having the timestamp be visible or not?

I am dedicating one of the catergories to being a collection of my artwork. In this catergory, each post will be a different piece of art. When I post something in this catergory the time of post is irrelevant. Because of that I prefer not to have a time stamp on any post in this catergory.
My goal is to change the color of the timestamp to match the background in this specific catergory or (better yet) completely make them disappear in this specific catergory.
(I thought maybe it would have been more likely if someone knew a hack or something to allow me to toggle the timestamp on a post by post basis. This would be great too.)
for those interested here’s my site, it’s still very much under construction so don’t expect much — https://bclark.info/wordpress/index.php

Add a custom field to the posts you don’t want to display a date and then, in The Loop, check with an if for that custom field and if it’s there, just don’t display it…
