Hi! I’m sorry, but to make your slider stop at the last slide is a full version feature. If you have the full version, you can turn it off at the General -> Animation settings -> Carousel: https://doc.smartslider3.com/article/72-simple-type

About your scrolling problem: please send me a link to your slider, where you are experiencing it, because it’s working that way, that the scrolling event is triggering one slide switching, and you can only start switching from one slide to another, if you are on that slide, so I’m not sure, how could that happen at you.

I purchased the pro. Great slider but I don’t see Carousel setting.

In animation settings, it’s not there. It’s completely missing.

The site isn’t public yet but I can send you a PM

It’s not underneath the Ken Burns effect.

    Hi,

to see that feature, please enable the “Expert mode”. It is on the navigation bar, before the notification icon and cancel and save buttons.

    https://doc.smartslider3.com/article/406-secondary-navigation-bar

It will write simple, but when you click on it becomes Expert and the parameter should appear.

    Got it,

I selected Carousel in the animation settings, but the box the looping still occurs.

Above animation settings “Slider Type” is set to “Simple” because I’d like the slider to be full screen, but next it is another carousel setting. I selected that but it lined them up in a row. I just want it full screen and not to loop.

    Any suggestions?

I figured out why the problem exists.

I’m using the vertical animated slider.

As long as i enable the mouse wheel to advance the slider, I can not scroll past the slider. The mouse wheel prevents me from moving past the slider so it loops to the beginning even if carousel is enabled.

The carousel should end on the last slide, but it doesn’t.

So I’m guessing there’s no work-around. If I select mouse scroll on a vertical full screen image there’s no way to move off the slider because it loops…. so much for Pro version.

So, I just gave it a try. Created a new slider, added 4 images. Then I have enabled the mouse scroll, set the Animation: vertical and disabled the Carousel option. Then I have published in a post.

Then I used the scroll which switched the slides, 2->3->4, here I’m on the last slide, the next scroll will not switch back to the first slide, except Smart Slider release the scroll and let me scroll downward on the site.

So in my opinion, this is the expected behavior. If it works for you in a different way, please send us a link to our email address as it is hard to tell the exact reason without seeing the issue.

Also for your other question, to make your slider fill the window height, you have to go to the Slider settings -> Size tab -> and switch the responsive mode to Fullpage.

    That worked. Perfect thanks!

    Works like a charm.
