Control Stock Message on Variant Products at the Archive Level

  • Is there a way to control the stock message on the Archive Page if it is a Variable Product. See product page here……

    In a simple product it displays that message on the archive page and product page. But if it is a variable it does not. That is good for products that we actually stock and might be just missing a few colors and sizes, like shoes, we would want it to show In Stock on the Archive page, and then on the product page it would change per selection. But it is not good for items that we don’t stock and only drop ship. We tried importing that message onto the Parent Id of the product, and it put it in there, but since it is not a simple product it still does not display the message at the archive level. Any ideas?
