Control over the text showing in icon column section?

  • I am working on a local site, so I can’t link to it. But I wanted to know if the free Vega allows us to control the formatting and length of the text that shows up in the icon column section.

    I see it only allows us to link to a specific page, and I can’t seem to find any way for it to show only a specific character count from the page.

    Also, I can’t seem to make a <br> or anything carry over. So no ability to arrange the text at all.

    Am I missing something?

    Thank you for getting in touch with us.

    If you would like to change the text in icon column section please open the page selected in Column Icon. Then click “Screen Options” at the top right corner and enable “Excerpt” box. See this screenshot as reference: https://prntscr.com/l8k1ej
    Once this option is enabled it should display “Excerpt” box where you can change the text displayind in Column Icon.
    I’m afraid you cannot add <br/> tag to excerpt.
