How do you control how often search engines are pinged?

    I have a concern with the search engine pings. For example. I don’t want my blogs pinging search engines five times when I click “Update” five times on a post within 10 minutes, etc. This could make search engines see you as a spammer.

    How do I control this to only ping 1 time every 24 hours or 48 hours even if I click “Update” ten times in that period.

    Hi @theinternetnerd, at this point, you don’t need to worry about spamming search engines. Furthermore, the ping feature is soon to be unsupported. And finally, “Notify Google about updates of your site” can option be unselected to disable the ping feature if you desire.
