Continuous numbering

  • How do I make the footnote numbering continuous through the site instead of starting from 1 on each page?

    There isn’t currently anyway to do this within Easy Footnotes. The footnotes are output on each individual post and numbered based on the number of times the shortcode is used on that post.

    In order to get numbers to be consistent throughout all archive and single post pages the notes would need to be ssaved into the database.

    I would like to second this request. It would be great to have a “start=x” parameter on the shortcode to specify the starting number of the footnotes on a page/post and so have continuous numbering across pages/posts.
