Continue Reading link not displaying correctly

My homepage has a “continue” reading link to the right of the MEDATS Logo. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

It looks like this in edit mode before I attempt to change the link: Edit Mode1
When I attempt to change it goes to a different edit mode and looks like Edit Mode 2

But it currently displays as only a link. Home Page

I have completely deleted, update the page and started over but it seems to make no difference. (I have cleared my cache too)
