‘Continue reading’ and ‘more’ tag problem

    Hi
    using 2.8.4 with the pixel theme:

    You will see that at the end of each post on the home page, there is a ‘more’ link. But this is right at the very end of the article. I have ‘more’ tags in my articles, but they are not breaking.

    I have tried some of the suggestions in the documentation relating to excerpts and ‘more’ tags, but I seem to be dealing with a different code.

  • I can’t see any ‘read more’ links on your Home page. On your category pages, there appears to be a hardcoded ‘read more’ link. Does your category template file contain the_content or the_excerpt?

    I seem to have fixed this problem by installing the ‘Limit post’ add-on. This was far from straight forward though as it was messing with my caption tags on my images, so I had to resort to a static home page and applied the add-on to category pages.
