    Hello,

I have probably made a mistake and don’t know how or how to fix it.

In the context field is my German translation, which I can’t get rid of. For this reason, the translation is not being adopted.

I tried deleting Loco, reinstalling it and translating it again, but the text in the context field is still there.

    Pleas see screenshot

Looks like you (or someone) edited the POT file thinking it was a translation file.

For future benefit, ensure you have the default warning enabled about this, or disable POT editing completely. See “Editing of POT (template) files” in settings: https://localise.biz/wordpress/plugin/manual/settings#fs

To rectify your current situation, you will have to revert to the original (correct) POT file, then run Sync against that for all translation files that were since saved against the bad POT.

Reinstalling Loco Translate won’t modify any translation files or translation templates. You will have establish for yourself where the POT file is and revert it accordingly.
