    Hello ricfin,

You need to change the content width too.

Go to customizer >> TwentyFourteen Content Options tab and under the section marked “Set Content max-width (numbers only!) – maximum recommended is 874 & Default is 474. Set to 700 when hiding left sidebar only!” enter the recommended or desired width and save.

    Regards,
    Zulf

I already setting the Content max-width to 800 and nothing happen. FYI tHe homepage is a static page, not a post. Can it change to the pages too?

    thanks

It doesn’t seem like you have any menu items allocated to the primary menu location.

No i don’t use my primary menu, i am using left sidebar menu. How to make it visible?

    thanks

You nee to go to Appearance >> Menus and create your menu groups. Once done you can then allocate the group to the location desired.

For the left sidebar you’d use the secondary menu location and you need to make sure you’ve not checked the “Hide Left Sidebar” box in the Customizer options of Fourteen Extended.

OK this is what I’m seeing on your site – on link that you provided.

Home page set to: Static front page.
Template in use: Full Width – no right sidebar as a default.
Make page true full width: Checked – this hides the left sidebar on per page basis.

So, with those combinations the left sidebar will not show on the front page but will show up on other pages provided the global hide left sidebar is not checked.

Have you checked your other pages? If they are not all set to true full width, is the lefts sidebar and menus showing?

Could you link to any other page/post so that I can take a look for you?
