Content scrolls over menu (new try)

    I’m still having this problem that I can’t seem to figure out. My website looks pretty much like I want it, but I still have one issue to resolve:

    I have a menu on the left side of every page but the homepage
    When I make the width of my browser small (emulating smaller screens than my 27″ iMac :-)), a horizontal scroll bar appears and the content of the page can be scrolled over the menu. I would like to prevent the content from scrolling over the menu.

    I’ve looked at this site which basically does what I want (except for having the menu on the right side instead of the left), but I cannot figure out what is different about that one when comparing it to mine when using Firebug.

    I hope that someone can help me out here. Any help is greatly appreciated.
