• The content restriction for logged-in users (so that only logged-out users see it) does not work anymore:

    [wppb-restrict display_to=”not_logged_in” message=” “]xxx[/wppb-restrict]

Shows “xxx” to both logged-in and logged-out users.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @aklaren,

I’ve also tested this on my website with the shortcode you’ve mentioned and everything worked correctly. More precisely only logged-out users were able to see that content (for the logged-in user the content was restricted/hidden).

What it’s important to mention when testing this is that you don’t test the above functionality with an Administrator account, since Administrators bypass all restriction functionalities. So if you want to test the above you will need to test with a normal user from your site (who has a normal/standard user role).

Let me know how this goes.

Ah, that explains. I did try it with a non-admin user, but forgot that this user also has the “manage_options” capability, which probably causes it to be seen as an admin user.

I have now added a note for admin-ish users that the text is only show to logged-out users and to admin-ish users. Or is there a way to also hide it for manage_options users (needs to be on a role basis, not on user-id basis)?

    Hi @aklaren,

Unfortunately, it is not possible to hide the restricted content for Admins (for the users that have the manage_options capability).

    Best regards,
